Do you know the name of the red and white one, Glaswegian?

No I don't! I bought them as part of a variety pack

A couple of years ago I had a red and white dahlia that looked similar to that one that was called "Duet". It also came in a variety pack, so I am sure it is very common.

I knew I recognized it, but at first I thought it might have been Matchmaker, which is white with red tips. I forgot all about Duet. I had lousy luck with its cuttings.

Looks like you've got some Golden Glow in there...??

Cheers,
Russ

I favor the lavender and the lovely wavery white/lavender.
Whatever they are, they are beauties.

Yes there is golden glow in there. I now know what the name is, thx to redpeony :-)

The flowers have been blooming like crazy, yesterday alone I had any 3 open up.
Amazing was cow poo does to plants eh. LOL

Going by the size & form of the white ID with the Lav. blend-- looks like Shiloah Noelle

RE: My Variety Dahlia on the Front Lawn

It will be nice if someone can confirm the proper ID please

If you're looking for confirmation on the red and white, two of us have agreed its Duet. Since I only know Swan variety names, it may well be a different name from another supplier. Swan says Duet is an 8" BFD on a 42" bush, sound right?

Cheers,
Russ

yes i bought Duet a couple years ago online, actually it was sent to me as a replacement for one they didn't have. that was Art's nursery. I ordered a bunch of Fab 50 dahlias and the ones they didn't have got replaced with hardware store varieties and obscure ones I could hardly find information on. They didn't resemble the ones they were supposed to be replacing in any way shape or form. (they didn't ask or tell me first either. they just did it.)
Duet is nice though. I just won't order from Art's ever again.

Nice bunch of dahlias. I see we burn candles next to your dahlias. I do the same in my garden room at night.

waiting for the weather to warm up so the dahlias can take off
