Karma Bon Bini. Fire engine red and yellow maybe 6" across.

Ruddy is new this year. Bushy little bugger and lots of blooms, brighter than shown here.

Contessa is an oldtime favorite I got at Eagle Hardware before it became Lowe's. I love the flowers and thick maroon stems. Used to call it red-orange, but this year it's much more red.

Cornel with an accidental flash. Never get tired of this wonderful red ball.

Summer Night is still around after many years. It's another dahlia you have to try hard to kill. Costco. Who knew?

Really nice collection of reds. I love my cornel also. It hasn't bloom for me yet this year.

You had the roughest of Springs from the sounds of the weatherman, Viking. I hope Cornel soon graces your yard.

Karma Choc is open after our recent rains. Really a dark red velvet with dark foliage too.

Fidalgo Blackie, little 3" blooms also in a very dark red.

I love the dark reds my black satin is still my favorite. Fidalgo blackie will go on my wish list. How do your cliants like it?

RE: Reds

They like pretty much anything on a stem that isn't marred or flopped over like wilted rose, but the dark reds are always welcome and bluish-lilacs and anything else of any size just about. I think there have been three flowers they haven't liked: orchid dahlias whose delicate petals didn't hold up to floral work and two bland colored blooms which were hard to blend.

Viking, I wish you'd put your email address back on your "My page" or else email me sometime.

Couple more reds. Hy Lobster which I really like. Bright red spidery petals, stout stems. Blooms are usually 6" or so here.

And little RazmaTaz which are 2" blooms in brightest red and gold.

RE: Reds

Some more really nice flowers.
