Hi , Just had to post this Photo I took, only because I think it is so nice, I thought i would share it.
.....and I like this variety so much that I had to wonder if anyone know what variety it is.
I do know it is a Dinner plate Dahlia, just opening up.

| I posted an id request for my dinnerplates which look very much like yours and I was told it was a "Babylon Bronze". |

| How big is your flower, Oxmyx? And where did you get it? Those factors would help possibly get an ID, but not with certainty. This is Sea Oro a B (6-8") Informal Decorative. Mine is at 8 or better. I wouldn't call it apricot, but more of a golden orange. See below for a link to search through a list of dahlias/photos. Not a complete list, but a start.

Whatever you have Oxmyx, it looks gosh durn similiar to my dinnerplate although I would call mine more 'Melon' hued with an occasional tiny stripe of pink.
This is under the noonday sun and comes off more orange than it really is --but if you notice the bottom petals you will see they have stripelets of pink and look their melon color.

| Yum on both those photos. Melon is a good color description. Oxmyx, what is the smaller red dahlia in the background of your first post here? Looks good. |

poochella hmmm got this from a garden center, threw out bag, these flowers are 9 inches. The red flower? good question, beats me what it is....... although the flowers are medium sized 5 to 6 inches, and the type is Anemone. misslucinda Look just like yours! especially the first photo. Very nice. but if the color is represented correctly, then we are just close... My camera is dead on in color. |
