| This is my first year with dahlias and they are so easy to grow!
Unfortunately, I'm having a problem with grasshoppers eating my dahlia petals. (They could be locusts or crickets...I see a different type everyday.) They are always sitting on the bloom and chewing holes through the petals. I knock them off and I've killed a few, but more show up everyday. Has anyone ever experienced this? I see such amazing, perfect dahlia pictures on this forum and I wondering how they are kept pest-free? Thanks! |

| I second that! My dahlias are getting munched on too! My Chilsons Pride seems to be a favorite. I know it is from grasshoppers, I have seen them sitting on the flowers happily noshing. I wish my cat would figure out where the happy hunting grounds are... |
