| What do you think of growing dahlias in a 5 gallon "pail", using Perlite only as a "soil"? With the provision that they be watered often, fertilized weekly with a water soluable fertilizer, and with the addition of Epson Salt?
Your opinion would be appreciated, regardless of what you think. THANK YOU ! |

| Why not use potting soil? I think they wouldn't be very happy in just perlite-- although, we did get some come up in the garbage pail last year-- no water, no soil, no care at all--- but they didn't bloom much. |

| Why not try 1 gallon perlite to 4 gallons potting soil. Really works wonders here in Maryland but but then most everything does here in Maryland. Steve S. |
