Height Question

I grew from seed Burpee Victoria Dahlias. I Pinched back to get the plants bushy, the plants are huge, finally blooming.

The packet said they were to grow to a height of 16 inches.

These plants, now full of buds and blooms are 5 ft high and one will probably get 6ft high.

I am planning for next season and am concerned about height listed on packets
