Can all dahlias be brought inside for the winter? I read a couple of posts here about how to store them, and I have stored them in the past. This year I bought a yellow flowered dahlia with dark leaves, I think it was 'mystic illusion'. I also planted some from seed that I bought at Walmart. The seed grown dahlias are very small (about a foot) and didn't flower until just recently. Can both of these types of dahlias be stored inside for the winter?

I would say yes, to the one grown from seed especially, as long as they have produced tubers. I grew some from seed a few years ago, and there are 2 that I simply could not lose - very simple blooms that I named Lipstick, and Burgundy Silk. Can't find those in any catalog - they are stunning!

Thanks Anna! I'll give it a try.
