| With the drought, and deer, my Dahlias hardly grew this year, no blooms at all. I dug them, and potted in dirt, then stored in the garage. This worked before, but now, they're all trying to grow, pale growth. Should I just take them out of the dry dirt, put a canvas around them so theyre completely dark, or what? I'm afraid they will use up all the energy they might have for next year. |

| You dug them to early. I am assuming that you havent had a hard frost in your area yet if you are in the Ozarks. The cold weather triggers them to go to sleep for the winter. I would cut off any growth all the way down to the tuber. |
