    Me too. No frost but getting late so I started cutting down Monday. Have a humongous Delta Frank among others. Steve S.

    Me three. Ditto no frost, despite my wildest pleas. It's been downright balmy here- near 60 a couple days, but wet. No surprise there. I'll get photos of some remnant blooms tomorrow, time permitting. These little blooms just don't want to stop, but I too am hacking them down with some regret.

    Viking, you and I are going to have to talk turkey about that gorgeous lavender ID!

    I have a lavender that I am quite high on. Lovely Lana. Covered in bloom all season. Steve S.

    I checked out Lana, she's indeed Lovely! Took some photos between squalls and downpours today. They are not in their usual color but keep on trying to bloom.

    Mary's Jomanda about my favorite ball ever, in a faded less glorious pink

    Mango Sunset has been going strong since late July.
    {{gwi:665007}}

    Minnesota, looks a lot like April Dawn at this time of year.
    {{gwi:665009}}

    Long Island Lil is a faded orange version of itself but still pretty to me
    {{gwi:665010}}

    Karma Choc is much darker red than this: nearly black/red. That has been a wonderful flower this year.

    Ferncliff Illusion is on the chopping block. I think this is about the 5th bloom I've had on FOUR plants. Too late for me.
    {{gwi:665012}}

    Another all time fave: Painted Lady still doing her thing, though leaning a bit in recent wind
    {{gwi:665013}}

    Pride of Place is still proud but in a paler purple than the usual dark version.
    {{gwi:665014}}

    Here's Summer Morn ? September Morn? which has got much better color here in low light late months than high summer.
    {{gwi:665015}}

    without a flash
    {{gwi:665017}}

    Little 3" no-id that's still putting out blooms
    {{gwi:665019}}

    Hy Lobster is usually fire engine red, now a faded orangey yellow.
    {{gwi:665020}}

    Karma Sangria looks about the same all season. Holding up well to nasty weather too.
    {{gwi:665021}}

    Ken's Flame is less flamboyant than its usual red, still trooping along though.

    The nice thing about lots of rain is you can drool on the dahlias still blooming and it gets rinsed away quickly ;)

    Good photos of good dahlias. Got our first frost Friday night so digging will soon be underway. Steve S.

    A modest frost finally hit and the remaining dahlias have that forlorn dark green, if not blackish, foliage. My last group cut as the lights go out on season 2009. These are no Show dahlias, for sure.
