I divided my tubers last night. On certain clumps the original tuber had the strongest neck. Assuming the original tuber has eyes will it produce a healthy flowering plant next year or is it better to use the new tubers?

All tubers are created equal...;-] If it sprouts, it will produce just as good a plant as any other. Cheers,

That's called the mother tuber. It'll grow just like the new ones but it's better to keep it stored apart from the others because it's more likely to rot & if it's not in with the others it won't make them rot.

Oh Great, I have them all put away and the Mother tuber is with them!
