This past spring I grew some Unwin's Dwarf Dahlias from seed. The seed packet stated that they were annuals, so I was quite surprised when planting bulbs in the bed to see that the dahlias had formed tubers. Are these the kind that can be dug up and saved to replant? TIA, Mary

I grew some unnamed dahlias from seed one year and saved the tubers. They re-grew the next season, so if you liked them, go ahead and store the tubers or cut back, mulch well, and hope they winter over.

Maryeis, what flower colors did your Unwin packet produce?
