Planted the 'Big Wow' a bit late...but it finally bloomed! I'm new to gardening and not sure whether I should bring it in for the winter or not...I enjoy looking at it (as it is one of the few plants adding color to my garden at the moment).

She is a beauty ! Thanks for sharing. I would bring her in for the winter, and store as I have described many times. Why take a chance with such a beauty, unless you are willing to risk losing her. I sense that you are borderline in zone 8 as to whether it will survive or not, but I am not sure. Frost will certainly knock it back. If the tubers freeze, you will lose them. Only you can tell this. Does your ground freeze in the winter? The Pacific North West is a large area, and where you are in that area makes a big difference.

Thanks jroot...the winters here in Tualatin, OR are quite mild. If we get any snow, it won't stick :( This will be my first winter with anything delicate...I will err on the side of caution. Probably bring her in when I here reports of frost coming.
