overwintering in pots?

It is going to be 27 degrees tonight, and my dahlias are so pretty...all in pots. Should I let them stay out and possibly freeze to death, dump them out of the soil and put them in the basement, or, least work for me, put them into the basement still in the pots?

Store them in the pots. That is the best way to store dahlias.
