I'm new to caring for dahlias and I'm hoping I haven't killed all of them. Hopefully someone here can help me out.

Last week, the frost killed the plants, so I waited a few days and dug up all of them this past weekend. I cleaned them off with the hose and then couldn't find a straight answer on what to do from here, so I hung the tuber clumps upside down in the basement until today.

When I checked them, all the tubers feel a bit soft. They're still solid in the centers, but all of them are slightly squishy.

Before anything else happens, I'd like to know what to do. Is this normal? Do I need to do something else before storing them?
