| This year was a silent one, compared to the last year when we enjoyed lots bloom pics and active discussions. Our Dahlia growing season is winter, didn't planted many dinnerplate varieties ...only ten rooted cuttings, all plants are doing great, sorry for not knowing the variety names because they aren't sold here by names.
Also started seeds of "Showpiece mix" from Thompson & Morgan seeds, UK. They are a bit slow compared to any seed grown dahlia I ever grew.
so the first bloom (variety identification is requested):
Will be sharing more as the buds open.

| Sorry I can't help with an ID, but thank you for sharing it. Blooms are but a memory here. Its -5C and snowing. Next week's lows will be around -16C. tj |

| Brrrrrr... its feels so cold here even at 7C nights, daytime is very pleasant around 25-27C... a source mentioned proposed ID of "Taiheijo Purple" or "Taiheiyo Purple" and looks quiet similar too... Izhar |

| All the Red & White ones are on same plant.. the blooms are very similar to the third pic in this link |

| Its great to know that dahlias are blooming some where in the world right now! Possible snow tonight here. Two more months and I will start potting up tubers in my greenhouse. |

| Sorry for a late reply, the height is variable the shortest being 18" and the tallest is 3.5'.
