Computer tricks

Too lazy to look up the original post, because I want to piddle.

Kathy, thanks for the info on holding the CTRL key and turning the mouse wheel to change font size. It works for me.

Don't know why the day and date does not appear when you put the cursor over the time IF you are using Windows XP. Something else that works for me is to put the cursor over the time shown in lower right and right click on the mouse. A menu should appear. Click on "Adjust date/time". A little calendar should then appear, showing the date. Close it without making any adjustment.

One other neat trick if you should want to save a picture of what is on your computer screen:

Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard.

Open a photo type program such as Irfanview.

From the program menu, select "paste" (usually in the edit menu).

The screen shot will then be in the photo program. Crop, if desired, like any photo.

Save the cropped screen shot like you save any photo.

Everyone have a nice day. Guess I will piddle since it is too hot for doing anything outside.
