Gorgeous bloom Rick...I'm jealous....can't grow peonies down here...it just doesn't get cold enough for them in the winter... :)

Oh my goodness Rick! That is an amazing bloom on 'Kinkaku.' I think I'll have to include room for a few tree peonies at our new house. I've been tempted by them many times, especially from Klehm's catalog. (The Japanese garden can go with the daylily nursery and display garden, mixed borders, shade garden, pond garden, arboretum, tree house [my son's dream], club house [my daughter's wish] and music studio and pipe organ [my DH's passion]). (Notice the HOUSE is secondary!)
