Looks like part, or all, of a dragonfly. I can't see clearly.

I looked at the Gathering Sunshine picture. It doesn't look bad except it isn't fully open, the sepals are turned up and it has a wierd bug on it. I expect later blooms will be very nice.

Ellie, it sure looks like a dragonfly with its butt missing.

it's about the size of a dragonfly and I thought it might be a species that I haven't seen before. It's wings were clear except for the black pattern and it seem to be all there. it flew away after I took the picture.

Brooke, I don't know about earwigs, I have never seen one that I can recall.

Royce, that picture was as open as it got yesterday. The fans are very small as is the bloom. I think it will shape up eventually...Ellie

OH I LOVE DRAGONFLIES! That looks like some I see around here all the time!
The hydrangea is nice too!
