| I think it'd be best to plant them outdoors. Daylilies need the outdoors to do well. They're not tropicals or indoor plants. They're tough. You say you're in NYC but you show your zone as zone 9?
Zone 9 would be mostly in the south. I think New York has growing zones between 4 and 7.
