Let me back up what Vernon said. There are many beautiful daylily gardens across this country and around the world. I've seen only a few of them. However, based on the opinions of many who visited far more gardens than I have, I would put Tim Bell's garden against all comers for the title of "Most Outstanding Daylily Garden." It is part of the tour at the National this year. If you are unable to attend, please remember to stop at Tim's garden if you ever get to south central Georgia. The picture below is just one view of one section of Tim's facility. There is much more than this. In addition, this picture was taken somewhere between late June and mid-July - - I don't have the day noted - - which is a minimum of 4 weeks after peak bloom, and maybe as much as 6-7 weeks after.
If you love daylilies, you need to spend at least one hour here.

P.S. I am not Tim nor am I benefiting in any way from posting this. I live nearly 220 miles from Sycamore, GA. I am just a daylily hobbiest who enjoys beauty.

What sweatin said about Tim Bell's place. No, I've never been, but several high muckety-mucks in AHS have told me it's a must-see place. And that it is as immaculate as that picture indicates.

I doubt I'll be going to Valdosta, but I sure would like to.

I've been checking airfares since December and its way up there still. Still searching. I've tried Valdosta, Albany and Jacksonville. Hopefully the air comes down soon.

Just as a note : air flight seats into Valdosta are EXTREMELY limited. I think there were a total of 56 seats in DAILY when I flew down there last Oct! I booked seats back in Nov. and a shocking amount of seats were already taken up. There isn't taxi service either. It's a very small airport. A lot of people in this area ( well, two clubs in the state) are going together and chartering a bus.

I'll be there too. I have already sent in my registration and made my hotel reservations. I hope we can all meet. I will have a little display setup about The Daylily Addict videos. If you see me, please introduce yourself.
