Are All Daylily Seeds from one Cross the exact Same?

Hi.. sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering, if you recieve 10 seeds from a daylily cross, will all ten seeds be the exact same genetically or is there a possibility that the seedlings will look different from each other. (I was trying to think back to my genetics classes and I know ppls children obviously look different even if they come from thw same parents, but wasn't sure how that worked if the seeds all came from ONE cross)
Thanks :)

No, seed from a specific cross will yield plants that look different from each other. I think genetic rules are universal.

You can get siblings that look almost alike, some may look like one parent or the other, and some can be totally different not looking like any of the others or parents. With 10 seeds you may or may not see a lot of varieation. these 3 seedlings are from the same cross.

If I had the time today I could also show you 3 siblings from a cross that do not look alike.

BTW the bud counts on these seedlings for first bloom were very good, here is a scape photo, they were all in the mid 20's. They seem to be bud builders.

Thanks, bambi too for the pics.. wow. those do have a lot of buds..
I'm going to plant seeds for the first time and I"m very excited.. I kind of like the fact that you won't know exactly what you're going to get, but I did assume it would have most of its parent characteristics, so I tried not to bid on seeds if I didn't really like each plant being crossed.

Here is an example of some that don't look alike in color and form:

All are seedlings from: SHORES OF TIME X FLUFF AND STUFF

Popping Pink Pizazz

Popping and Locking

Wow, very pretty. I'd be happy to have all of these in my garden.

Thanks fairysoap.. can't believe how different those are (one eyed, one pastel, etc.).. now I'm so excited about the possibilities! I went with a lot of seeds that are crosses between velvety reds and teeth, so I guess I'll see what I get!
