Maryott - Which of his introductions have you gotten?

I'm hoping some of you on the forum may have purchased or gotten one of Bill's own introductions (old or new doesn't matter). Would love to read which ones you have, pics if you have any and some feedback.

| I have a few of Bill's introductions. A lot of them are new and will bloom for the first time this spring. The ones that have bloomed for me are:
Flamboyant Diva
Inner Vision
Decadence The ones that have not bloomed yet (got them last fall) are:
Rodelinda
Filipina Bride
Intaglio Image
Winning Note I am not connected to my external hard drive (with all my pics), but I will try to post some later. All his plants have been very hardy for me so far. |

I'm surprised no one else has posted. I'm trying to make up my mind as to which ones of Bill's to get. MEXICAN MAGIC looks intriguing but has anyone grown it? Julia |

Hey, I do have Mexican Magic, it grew really well, overwintered well too. Got it summer of 08. Long bloom time and increased alot!

I also have Prediction, it has overwintered, increased like crazy. I have some in the bed , and I put some in a pot, the one in the pot rebloomed for me late in the summer. I've had it since summer 08. I also have Incendiary, I received it end of June 09 and it doubled!! then it shot up three scapes in October, which I cut, I understand it blooms early for most, so I'm hoping it has settled in and will send up those scapes again for me come this June. I also have Because of You, and Extravagant, both were planted this past summer, Extravagant increased a little during the summer.

Google brought up another of your posts with a distinct similarity in color and a pic from "the unmentionable site" taken from Maryott's that I find far less impressive than your pics. If the red in your pics is close it must be stunning in person / near primary reds especially. Thanks! ~Wes |

Yes, Prediction is as it stands out in my pic. The red eye and edge popped against the yellow. It began to bloom last week of June last summer, after wintering over in my zone 5 garden, then one grouping (potted one) did a rebloom late, I think it was September. The pic is the rebloom. Here is a pic from early July in the garden bed, the edge wasn't as pronounced as it was on the rebloom. It did stand out in the garden bed.

| I have 6 Maryott daylillies and most have done really well for me in Zone 6. 
My two favorites of these are Annabelle's Blush and Choral Fantasy. |

I've added PREDICTION as well.
I'm checking on the ones that farmerbell posted. CHORAL FANTASY looks like a standout in color. How is the bud count and scapes? Julia |

I got a few of Maryott's daylilies, last summer was their first bloom though so some were just so-so. I have Flamboyant Diva, can't say enough about that one, it bloomed a lot for its first year. I'm expecting big things from it this year. Also have Bold Move, loved its blooms; World Premier did fairly well,& Dilemma. Bubbles Galore did great too. Got Century Club the year before these, it has been a disappointment. I started out with 3 double fans of it, it has slowly died back to 1 fan, but that was looking very healthy last fall. It is a very pretty one though
Bold Move looks just like any old red in this picture, but it is one of my nicest reds I think
 Flamboyant Diva I think I stopped taking pictures of it by the time it started opening up fully

For some reason I don't have pictures of Bubbles Galore & Dilemma. Dilemma may never have had a good flower on it, most of its buds never even opened up. |

| OK, Sorry it took me so long yo post these: FLAMBOYANT DIVA (Bloomed shortly after getting here, and I expect her to be much better this year).
 DECADENCE (This was a very late bloom/scape, it came with Bill's Magic Dust on it, so I am sure it will be even better this year!)

| I ordered DECADENCE this year, it will be my first year ordering from Maryotts. Must admit I got carried away on the BOGOS! Nancy I love World Premiere! like the ruffled ones alot. |

I made my order and sent it in. So hopefully no problems with these and thanks to everyone for their feedback/pics and suggestions. I've not ordered before from Maryott's but Bill is more than helpful and his feedback from many is always positive.
I decided on:
SOCIAL GRACES
MEXICAN MAGIC
PREDICTION
LIGHT OPERA
DILEMMA
and not one of Bill's but wanted to get AZTEC HEADDRESS. I was tempted by some of the others but thought to start with these. Julia |

I think you will like Mexican Magic. It didn't bloom for me last year because I had it in a bad place and moved it. But this is a picture from the year before. I'm looking forward to seeing it again this year.

 I received some of Maryott's intros last year as bonuses and am looking forward to seeing blooms this year. Cameo Luster, Flamboyant Diva, and Choral Fantasy. This year I have ordered Extravagant, Pandora's Treasure, and Inner Vision. Annabelle's Blush is on my wishlist. | i just made my first maryotts purchase and wanted to pay using paypal. it did not prompt me for payment but i did submit my order. does bill email me a paypal invoice right before they ship? after seeing this thread, i sooo want flamboyant diva!!! i purchased shores of time, franks star of bethlehem, and raspberries in cream. thanks for your help! faye |

Faye: It doesn't prompt you for the paypal but it did have somethng referencing which email to use for submitting your paypal payment to them.
I think it was a couple of days after I sent in my order online that I received an Order Acknowledgment email from Maryott's confirming my order and instructions for submitting payment via Paypal at my convenience. Check your emails if you don't see it come in within a week. Check your spam and trash folder as well. Sometimes the email service provider dumps alot of stuff in Junk/Trash/Spam folders that shouldn't be there. Julia |
