P.S. Two Scapes on Beautiful Edgings

Totally shocked to discover 2 scapes on Beautiful Edgings today. This daylily was planted in October, and I wasn't expecting to find scapes so early. I checked the AHS Daylily Data Base and it lists the bloom time as Mid-Season. This is truly a strange growing year. I will keep you posted as to the progress of this plant--I think it will be a great one.

I looked at mine today checking for scapes, but, I don't have any yet, just some more fans on it.

Maybe because you just planted it in the fall has confused its bloom cycle. I've had that happen on fall planted daylilies several times. Beautiful Edgings is such a wonderful daylily. A couple of years ago it had a great season, bloomed & rebloomed right up til frost.

This is what I love about this Forum, always able to learn something new. Since this is the first time we planted in Oct., then the bloom cycle may be out of snyc. Thanks, Nancy, for your input. Avedon
