I would be curious to know what diploids you have that you think would make good crosses? Pigment of Imagination is listed as having 2 branches and 15 buds. Are you going to try for a higher branching and bud count or this is just for the colors? Will be very interested to see the responses on this one, since so many do hybridization. I am limited to a few selections. I just started this venture :) I have GREEN ARROW, ISOLDE, ASHWOODS WRAY OF Sunshine and a few others. Lots of seedlings from great parents, but that will be next year :(

A lot of Richards lines have instant rebloom like ASHWOODS WRAY OF SUNSHINE, I wonder if this is crossed into POI if it will yield too much line breeding?

It's a surprise no one else has sent along any information about this, but I was reading R. Norris' description of Wray Of Sunshine and he says it is a highly inbred cultivar displaying health, vigor, and good plant habit. He goes on to say that these types of plants are likely to put extreme vigor and uniqueness in the offspring. Based on this I think I would cross POI with Wray Of Sunshine. Why not take the chance? Thats what I was thinking too Avedon, but it probably would need to be a long cross. I was trying to find other color changers too, but no luck. I forgot I also am getting TRAHITA and BEES BETTY SUE. I will surely cross POI into these two as well.

I don't know if you like very dark daylilies, but one of Norris' that I really do like is Ashwood Darkside. Since it is a dip, I wonder what kind of kids would come out of this crossed with Pigment Of Imagination?
