I don't think exactly that is possible, but it is possible for the flower to be bicolored in the normal way, meaning the sepals are one color and the petals (along with all the extra petal material) are a second color. You can also get some interesting color patterns in doubles with eyes and edges.

I took a look at Keowee Blissful Julia, not what I was thinking of. That seems like the bitone that Nate mentioned. Basically im asking if there can be fraternal doubles, not identical. What made me think of this is how we can breed for different types of doubles, but not color of doubles. Peonies show some characteristic of this, but I do not think that is really a double.

My best understanding of "how doubles work" is that regardless of what type of doubling you see, the extra petals or extra tissue are all made with the same code as the normal petals, so the plant will try to replicate any color/texture/size/shape/etc. characteristics from the normal petals onto the double tissue.

So rather than thinking of a double daylily as two flowers, you have to think of it as one flower that made extra parts.

Another way to think of it: If you look closely at a daylily with a patterned eye, you will see that the stamens have the same color pattern as the petals. And doubling normally starts with the stamens turning into petal parts.
