Mine are mixed and I like them that way. Some people like single-color beds or two-color beds. I think as long as the mixed bed looks random, it works fine.
I have both mixed beds and colour theme beds. The first one I did is totally mixed but only daylilies. The next 2 are themed but contain spring bulbs and lilies as well as the daylilies. One is hot-red, orange and yellow. One is cool, pinks through purples with some whites and yellows thrown in for contrast. I also have a few other smaller mixed beds. Debbie
