| Hello All! Hoping you can help me out, as I am new to dayliles. I purchased some last week and when I opened the packages they had already sprouted and begun growing down toward the roots instead of upward. I'm hoping you can instruct me on how to plant them now. Should I cut off the growth? Thank you very much for your help.

| They are daylilies, right? Just making sure you aren't talking about regular lilies, I've seen lilies come in packages already sprouted like that a lot. I know you can get packages of daylilies too, just can't picture them growing where you can't plant them though. Of course, if you cut lilies off you would get no bloom this year. Daylilies though, you can off enough of the green leaves to plant them. |
