New Camera for Mother's Day!

My darling DH wanted to celebrate Mother's Day today ahead of the maddening crowd. We had a lovely dinner at Pappadeaux's, followed by his gift to me of a NIKON L810. He said he had watched me struggling to carry around the CANON EOS 10D photographing the daylilies (without a stabilizer lens). I can't wait to take more daylily pictures with it tomorrow!

A marvelous gift for Mother's day. Your DH is a keeper. LOL. You should take a picture of him and post it along with the daylilies. Avedon

Oh yes, he definitely is a keeper! We'll be celebrating our 40th anniversary in November. I think I'll keep him for at least another 40 years. (smile)

I just had to run outside and take some late day pictures of daylilies with the new camera. OMG - the pictures look almost like 3D, and no need for color correction! I can't wait until tomorrow morning to put it through a workout. And it's amazing how little and light it is. Wheee!
