Don't let them soak too long.. if they are like some of mine you should just be able to plant them back in the ground, mark them and hope for the best.. :-)

Roots with no fans should be no problem, just replant them or pot them up. If you have a fan with a root, try potting it up & setting it in the shade, baby it. I've had them grow nicely, I did let them soak a day or so before potting up. I've even done that with fans that must have had a bit of root that I couldn't see, they grew roots & survived. I've read that doesn't work, but it certainly has worked for me & nothing lost by trying.
