Fern Stone is a bewitching beauty. A lot of Lambertsons are muddy mauve with blue eyes until things get really hot.

BBBE is new this year, so I won't judge too quickly, but I wish I'd considered the heat factor in the coloring of the daylily, since we're still having cool nights and moderate temps during the day. It might not have been the best choice for Michigan.

Fernstone is a beauty. Hopefully your newly acquired one improves over time to your liking.

I am right there with ya on the muddy mauve color. Yuck. I am sure it will improve. Fern Stone has a nice color and form. A nice daylily to be the first to debut in the season!

Thanks -- Fern Stone is a great plant and has increased nicely. It still looked fresh this evening, although we didn't have blazing heat today. I'll keep my fingers crossed about the beast.

Fern Stone is a very good looking red, sounds like a good northern performer too. Hope BBBE starts to shape up for you.

Fernstone is such a great plant. That bloom is beautiful, and it is usually my first to bloom too, albeit several weeks before yours blooms. Hope your colors improve, but it is a pretty one. Loved the shot Chris posted of hers.
