| Oops, so sorry, I was going to resize & my fingers just reached over & hit submit for some reason. And boy do those weeds show up good in that last one! |

| Those are nice ones. I have Bela Lugosi and Evening Enchantment and think they are both excellent daylilies. I would give Evening Enchantment the edge because it reblooms so well. Debra |

| Nice blacks! I like EE better. Maybe it is the more consistant ruffling. |

| These are beautiful, and thanks for showing them (so pretty I didn't even notice the weeds). A couple of beauties that grow well in my area are Midnight Magic and May Night. |

| I was given EE by Mr James W Anderson of Louisianna about 4 years ago. This wonderful man sent me a gift box with about 15 wonderful daylilies at no charge! He gave me many seeds that are now blooming seedlings in my garden. I have since purchased several really expense DL ($100) is a bank loan for me, but I still love Evening Enchantment more than most of my new ones! The color is so intense and it blooms for at least 2 weeks. I have since lost contact with Mr Anderson. The last I heard he was moved into a retirement center. I would love to get in touch with him. I know he would love to see some of his babies growing and happy today. He is the kindest most generous man that I've had the pleasure to know. He was a blessing to me. I Praise God for giving me this daylily friend when I needed one the most. Hope you enjoy your EE as much as I love mine. Blessings to all, Mona |

I have Bela and EE, too. Although the bloom on EE may be a little prettier, I prefer the size and stature of Bela. I think Bela is a more impressive plant. But I like all the darks...they look good with just about everything. Kathy |

Loved your photos! I don't have EE, but my BL is blooming it's head off on nice tall, strong scapes. I do love the ruffling on EE however. Another very black one that is still going strong is Jungle Beauty. I also have Midnight Love, Midnight in Marakesh, Black Briar Bay, Nosferatu and a few more that escapes my memory at the moment. | I love the sheen on the black daylilies, although they look very similar to me in the pictures. I do love the size of Bela , it is more impressive. Tuscawilla Blackout has been blooming like crazy though, but it is an older daylily in my garden. Jan, how does Nosferatu do for you? I've been intending to start a "Halloween" garden. |

Nosferatu has been a bit slow in settling in for me. This is it's second season in my garden and it's been slower than others to increase and has had a lower bud count than I would like also. Hopefully the 3rd year will show a big improvement. Jan |

Thanks Jan, I guess I won't get that one then. Silly to get a plant just for its name :) Although I am trying to get daylilies with family names. I looked up the others you mentioned, like the look of Jungle Beauty. |

| I love the dark ones too! The only one I have of this group is TUSCAWILLA BLACKOUT, and I just love it. The red halo down against the yellow throat looks like fire. I think I must add EE to my list. Thanks for posting these. Lrae |

| Like that dark shimmering color on both the first two. |
