I moved to Vancouver Island BC Canada (gardener's paradise) from Alberta a year ago. I brought several of my Daylily plants with me. They have grown and flourished and they now have many stalks with multiple buds. However, there's a problem in paradise! As the buds develop they swell up fat instead of elongating. When you pick a deformed bud and open it up, it is full of small white larva. I have never seen this before in my 50+ years of gardening. Does anyone know what this is and how to eradicate it?
