Yeah, looks like its ruffles are just stuck together.

Ellie it is just stuck, but its the semi-toothy ruffling that is repeatedly causing it. If I could get others that were also prone to do this, I might be able to breed for it. A bit like the first folks to see extra material on a bloom and eventually we got doubles. I think and sort of hope that the weird or unusual has the potential to eventually become a new attribute others may find interesting.... it may also simply end in a line of bad seedlings with little going for them. All just part of the fun.

I'm pulling this thread back to the top because I had more blooms this year that stuck to make this shape. I love it when it happens. I am hoping someone else might have one that does this continually that they might share or sell to me.... I want to breed for this. It is too interesting when it does it.

I like the color but anyway where I can get to this seedlings because I wanted to put in my garden to enhance more beauty.
