Friday Blooms

Caribbean Eye Spy always blooms 3 times a year, I love a hard working daylily, & pretty too
{{gwi:662494}}

Casper's Shadow is doing really well this year, it has really multiplied fast

Celestial Army going strong

Have to show this photo of Christmas Is. This has the absolute worst plant habits, rarely a nice, unsplotched bloom & not a lot of them, hasn't multiplied well either. But this year blooms are really nice, much better than the photo shows, it is so big & bright it just grabs your eye.

Another of Christmas is

Heavens Proclaim, a huge perfect flower every time

Nancy, your Christmas Is really looks great there. Mine has not bloomed in years. And yes, it doesn't increase and just generally does poorly.

Wow, I have to give a thumbs up to Caribbean Eye Spy. Any daylily that blooms three times a season is a winner in my book!

Too bad Christmas Is has such bad habits because the flowers look great. Love the red with big green throat, but guess I won't be getting it. How does Heavens Proclaim perform? I really like the look of that one. Caribbean Eye Spy sounds like a great one. Anything that performs like that is a winner in my book and it's a pretty one,

Christmas Is looks great, really love this look. Too bad that it has flaws. I once found like 100 pots of it in a nursery but didn't buy, it was not blooming plus I was concerned about tissue culture.
    I like Celestial Army too

Celestial Army is well named--looks hefty with those broad petals slightly recurved.

Nancy: Christmas Is appears to be well worth the wait. I'm partial to green throats and that one has a terrific one.

Rita, I think that day Christmas is had more blooms than it has had all season any other year. Or maybe ever. Some years it has had only 2 or 3 blooms. It was on its way out, but i may just let it stay, I just love the blooms. So far Caribbean Eye Spy has bloomed 3 times each year, its 3rd flowering is usually very late in the year. One year it got caught by frost.
Val, Heavens Proclaim doesn't have huge numbers of blooms, I counted 12 on one, although it looks like there might be more. The blooms are so very huge though I don't mind. Very sturdy lush plant, hasn't multiplied terribly fast, but it really isn't in the best location.
Good thing you didn't pick up those plants Nat4b. Christmas Is is just being exceptional this year for some reason. Must be the weather, other plants that tend to be splotchy have perfect flowers this year.
Celestial Army is my favorite this year, I have 2 others very similar in look but this one has the best bud count.
Debra, Casper's Shadow is on its 2nd full year here, but it has really done well. Multiplied nicely & blooms quite well.
    Thanks Jean & Linda!
I know Julia, I am so afraid this is a one time thing for it though.
