In the Seedling Bed on Tuesday

The sibling to Shores of Time x Rosy Rhino bloomed today. It looked a lot like Monday's sib, but the bloom was bigger - just shy of 6 inches, and more ruffled. Today's seedling has better plant habits too, with two husky fans instead of one, and 10 buds as opposed to the sib's 8. It also opens flat at dawn.

Another Back Scratcher baby - this one is much smaller than the light lavender sib with the watermark.

EYES A BLUE X WATCHYL LADY BUTTERFLY has developed some nice scapes this year with 4-way branching and 20 buds. The flowers are smaller than last year when they measured in the 7 inch range. That may be linked to last year's drought.

oh gee whiz, DEB, you have gotten really good with your daylily babies. these are just beautiful all 3 of them, with the first one being my favorite of them.just gorgeous

Just beautiful color on that 1st, & I love the look of the 2nd one. The 3rd is really pretty too, & seems like it is really going to be a good one. Wonderful plants!

Dean - I hope that one will make a nice clump someday. At this point, it's only two fans.

Rita - Thanks for liking #3. It's sort of old fashioned looking, but I like it.

Maryl - Yes, I hybridized all three of these.I'm really pleased with both SOT X RR seedlings. They had just the look I was going for.

Yes Ellie, Shores of Time seems like a great parent. I need to be using it more. I want to cross it with some lavenders and purples.
