RE: sdlg surprises

Your first two seedlings are showing beautiful poly blooms today. I'd love to see more photos of your double masterpiece seedling. Is the 7-inch favorite seedling also out of Rose Masterpiece. I think it's very pretty. My favorite is the Starlight Express seedling. What a beautiful lavender!

HI Debra,
Glad you liked SE sdlg, I've never had many 'normal' flowers (not UF's) over 5 inches before, so this is a real treat for me and I hope it continues.

The 7 inch seedling is a sib of NOID x Tuscawilla Snowdrift......all the sdlgs from this cross have had large flowers so far, with some showing extended opening.

Just wondering if the flower with 5 petals/sepals is called a 'penta' or just a poly?

Christmas in summer...yah!!

It's always so exciting when the seedlings start to bloom, and it's interesting to watch how they mature within a couple years. Your 7" fav looks very nice, and I like the color of the Starlight Express seedling.
