I have had SB for about 10 years now. It never did very well where it was so last fall I moved it to a bed with amended soil and she is doing better. I know that some of you use her for hybridizing so she must set pollen. Mine never seems to. I've checked at different times throughout the day and not once have I seen pollen on her. I'm beginning to think I got a dud plant. Do you think it would help set pollen if I cut the scape and brought it into the house? Marg

Are you sure you have SB and not a clone or a look alike? SB is listed as pod and pollen fertile (lots of "kids") but if you go to the ATP site and search their database you will see all the varying pics of SB and I have to wonder if they are all correct.

Can you post a pic of what you are seeing on the stamen when you try to pollinate another plant?

I bought SB from a grower at a gardening show - one of those roots in a pkg. type thing. This is a picture from last year. She's not flowering right now. Marg
