off-topic a bit here, but your crocosmia really jumped out at me. i bought the corms/bulbs (?) this year for Lucifer and George Davidson, have them still in pots and was wondering where i could plant them in my garden. i like the effect of yours with the daylily. are these fussy or difficult to grow?

roxanna - Crocosmia are not generally hard to grow but from my experience I find the red varieties the best and easiest to grow. I had 4 varieties but my orange Emily MacKenzie didn't make it through it's first winter so I'm not trying that one again. Besides Lucifer I also have Emberglow and George Davison. My two reds do a lot better than my yellow does but at least it comes back every year. When you plant them, give them space as they like to multiply every year and make sure you pick a sunny spot, they love the sun and hate the shade.

I have Lucifer (red) and it comes back. I tried an orange variety but it doesn't look like they will bloom this year.

Nice daylilies. Bright Sunset is very bright.
