I also like Antique rose, but am impressed by the bloom you get from Yellow Monkey.

Congratulations on the start of your bloom season, and what I wonderful start it is . Antique Rose and Nancy Thomas are my co-favorites out of a really great looking group.

Edward! I think I see you over there on FB in some of the daylily groups.

Beautiful blooms! Your photos of Antique Rose and Nancy Thomas make all of us pink people swoon.

Tell me about Yellow Monkey. I am looking for a good yellow unusual form...that kind of yellow. And, I tend to like Gossard's things...so, (but I do not need any....no, I do not). I have a nice one from someone else that is leaning this year (sad face) that I am trying to find an excuse for.

This year bud counts seem low but there is a scape on Yellow Monkey with 30+ buds. Several scapes are below 20. It is about 40" tall with big spider blooms. I would expect you to get even better performance in VA. Here is a picture from Zone 6 up in the valley from 2010.
