I just landscaped last year so got to put in lots of "new" (to me) daylilies. Every single one of them is off color, and I'm not talking about their jokes. They all look yellowish: the reds are dark orange, the pinks are peach etc. The only ones that I have that aren't off color have been in the ground for a couple years and/or are in shade (or are yellow, duh.) So, the question: will these guys get the correct color with time? is it my alkaline soil (w.Colorado) or is it the very hot sun? They aren't all from the same supplier, but most are from Maryotts and I have dealt with him for years; I don't think that is the problem. Any guesses or fixes? Thanks
