Not good here this year. We haven't had beetle problems in the past few years, prior to that we used Beetle Traps. This year there seem to be a lot of them around, and the beetle traps are out right now, and the bags are filling fast.

Havent seen any here in zone 5 west of chicago. I heard on the news here a month or so ago that the deep ground freeze we had here last year would minimize the problem for us. Seems to be the case so far.....

I was just thinking about this when I was walking around outside - I've noticed a lot of them over the past couple of days... usually I see them mostly on the echinaceas, this is the first year I've ever noticed them on the daylily buds. Argh!

i have seen a couple so far...but nothing like it was last year! knock on wood!

They have been here and gone. And they were pretty bad this year.
Since our season starts before yours, I guess the beetle season does too.

Not yet. I even had my only rose blooming without them yay, but some other bugs were damaging its blooms (thrips maybe).

only seen a few here in northern IL. south of Rockford, nothing like we had in the previous years- hope they will be moving farther west so they don't dine on my roses and Echinacea's flowers like they usually do

I didn't know they like echinaceas. I don't grow any, but good to know that.
