Red Lily Bettle

I noticed today that all the leaves were eaten from a few of my lilies. Lots of black slimy stuff remained on the stems. I did notice or my granddaughter noticed a lady bug with no spots a few weeks ago.
I just took the hose to that black stuff. Now what.

In cases of bad infestation, I have to use an insecticide. Still have some Orthenex and Malathion.
