New to daylillies. A couple of months ago purchased a few varieties. Beautiful flowers.

Recently noticed that out of the center of a couple of the plants are very tall (6 ft0 stalks that have seedheads. i thought these were some type of grassy weed but appear to be growing directly out of the plants.

Any ideas about this? I find no mention of this type of growth in a web search.
