Weed or Plant ?

Recently discovered daylillies. Ordered a few varieties and they are doing well.
Over the last week or so i have noticed new growth. these shoots look like daylilly leaves as far as shape however where my daylilly leaves (scapes?) are all green these are green with a white line running down the center of the leaf. In addition this new growth is a distance from the original plant anywhere from a few inches to a foot away.
Do daylillies send out rhizomes or do they grow from the mass of original planting?
Not sure if i should pull these out. Oh yes, some appear to be growing from the original plant as in photo.
