Did I ruin next year's bloom?

I have just spent a week rearranging 4 big daylily beds from different parts of my gardens, dividing each before replanting. I've been dreaming of how wonderful they will look near one another next year. THEN I read on 2 websites, that if you divide them into single fans (which I did in most cases), they won't bloom for several years. Can it be? In the past, I haven't divided them so severely, but that's been because it's been too hot or I'm in a rush. This year is blessedly cool and I thought I was doing it right for a change.

Am I in for paltry bloom for several years?
