To me, the top pic looks like 5-6 way to me, having 2 or 3 of them with a terminal 'Y'. And the bottom pic looks like 7 way having 4 branches with the 'Y'. I figure hybridisers count branches, and then average them out over time, but how hybridiser's actually count each branch exactly is still somewhat of a mystery to me... like- do they count a lone bud (separate from other branches) a branch itself?

Either way, it looks like you have a great performer there with lots of branching and a high bud count! Have any pics of the bloom?

I would say the first picture shows two lateral branches with terminal Y, or four way branching.

The second picture shows three lateral branches with terminal Y, or five way branching.

Totally agree, very pretty flower as it is. Very nice color and habit apparently.
If you're trying for the rounded, full form, I would recommend a cross with tet 'Connie Burton'.

Thanks for the nice comments. I kind of like it as its myself, but others seem to think it needs ruffles. I looked up Tet. Connie Burton and it's gorgeous, but the only place I found it for sale it was $200! I'm afraid that's out of my price range.
