Daylilies from forum friends are treasures

It was asked in a recent post which daylilies bring you the most joy. I have dozens that bring me joy... too many to list. But at the top of my list are a couple that I just acquired last fall from our forum friends, Debra (shive) and Nancy (ngraham). Debra had posted a thread in which she was disappointed in 'Northern Fancy' and sought to get rid of it and I was very happy to take it off her hands. Nancy had posted a photo of a very beautiful NOID and I was captivated by it. She offered me a piece of it and now it graces my garden. These two are among my most treasured daylilies, not just because they are beautiful, but because they came from friends. So thank you once again, Debra and Nancy. I think of you both every day that I enjoy these beauties.

NORTHERN FANCY, now in my northern garden....

It is still covered in buds....

THE BEAUTIFUL NO ID...(some people thought it might be 'Margo Reed Indeed' if I remember correctly). It is 7 1/2 to 8 inches and very pale, near-white in my garden). It is breathtaking in person.

Northern FAncy is so lovely! So funny how some are just suited to the northern climates. The NOID is very likely Margo Reed Indeed. It was gifted to me & I love it. I did get a start of the real Margo last year & this one blooms at the same time & looks the same, a very vigorous grower. It looks whiter in your garden than in mine, but maybe because it is growing beside a seedling I have that is very white.

Those are both beautiful! Northern Fancy is certainly at home in your gardn and shows it.

The blooms on Northern Fancy look so much prettier in your garden than mine, and it has wonderful branching there in NH. Your climate really suits it much better. Thanks for posting the lovely photos. The white NOID is a real beauty too!

is very pretty, too.ALmost all of mine are gifts from the north and I treasure every one of them.
