Photobucket - Server issues - FYI

I went to access my account this morning and couldn't get in and then checked the Help information and found the message below.

Site Issues 9/2/2012 - 9/4/2012
Hello Photobucket users,

We experienced a problem on Sunday September 2nd that caused servers to go down. This is affecting some of you in different ways, and we just wanted to make sure you knew that our engineers are looking into it, and doing their best to get everything back to normal as quick as they can.

Issues affecting users:

Unable to login
Images missing from the account, or websites they are linked out to
503 error on Photobucket, not allowing you to access your account or a page within your account (upload, edit, download)
Pixlr editor not loading properly
Gray pages or boxes on your account or the Photobucket website

You may experience any of these issues when accessing your account or the site. I assure you that your content is safe, and everything will be back to normal soon.

Our engineers have been hard at work on this over the past two days. A disk drive needs to be rebuilt, and that may take a bit of time to complete.

I will post another message when more information is available on when this might be resolved.

Thank you!

RE: Photobucket - Server issues - FYI

Thanks for the info on photobucket, Julia. Unfortunately, DH erased the last several days of (not yet uploaded) photos I took from the camera card while trying out a new device he bought, so I will likely not be posting more lovely photos for some time.

It is amazing how much damage a supposedly tech savy person can do.

RE: Photobucket - Server issues - FYI

Well, I was wondering why I couldn't find my pictures! Thanks for posting Julia. Marg

I had a computer crash a few years ago.. of course I backed up all of my kids pics , but not the garden ones, I lost everything proior to around 2009 I think. I have a few things on photobucket stored previous to that time. which is nice to review from time to time.

Kay: Oh my. I'll admit that I've done that myself. Thought I had uploaded to my computer, put the card back in and hit the format button to clear the card. My "what was I thinking" moment. Not to mention, forgetting to put the card back in the camera and heading out to the garden and wondering why the camera won't work. My "duh" moment. LOL.

Marg: Scary not to find pictures. I hope when I can get back in I have all of mine otherwise this winter I'll be uploading photos all over again.

RE: Photobucket - Server issues - FYI
