How long will it take my daylilies to spread?

I planted a very long row of them in June and they are each about 24 inches apart from each other. How long would it typically take before they are one continuous border of daylilies?

Just wondering if I'm looking at months or years here :) It has been almost 5 months and so far it looks exactly the same as I planted it in June and I do not see any multiplication.

I am probably just being impatient. Thanks everyone!
