Hi all, my last images for a few days as will be busy. I keep missing questions so am attempting to answer them from previous posts?
"marric" Marg; "I don't know if you can get it there but I always put down corn gluten to keep weed seeds from germinating. I do it twice a season." Thank you for the tip though very little corn is grown in this area. The closest to this is sugar cane mulch & it is ok though only lasts a short time in this weather, so I prefer to use the road mulch, thank you for the suggestion all the same.

Maryl; Have to admit that the Sarracenia takes first place with me....... Are they hard to grow?" yes very easy, most of the new cultivars are very decorative, to grow them all that is needed is a plastic pot, fish tank gravel & live spagnum, fill pot with gravel & spagnum, plant crown above gravel mix, with roots in mix. Then submerse in full sun fish pond (preferably clean fresh water) & leave plant to do the rest, very novel water feature.

images for today;
Malaysian Marketplace (Salter) not opening properly due to cold night;

Citrix (Stamele) first flower open ( two flowers fused together);

A seedling keeper from last season, Queensland Red x Dalriada (both parents are Oz registered);

Lavender Blue Baby x Peppermint Delight seedling first flower out;

Bella Sera x Cool Elegance first flower for these two seedlings (unfortunately all this batch of seedlings are very rust prone like Bella Sera);

Some images of native hybrid bottle brush shrubs in my garden flowering now, very popular with the birds. This one is Pink flower;

Close up of flowers;

White hybrid bottle brush shrub;

Dwarf red flowering hybrid called C.Captain Cook;

Native lizard referred to over here as a blue tong lizard (friendly insect eater, very slow moving);

cheers allan

I really like the Bella Sera seedling, for some reason, and the pink bottle brush. :)

Wonderful pics, thanks for sharing! My favorite is your seedling - Lavender Blue Baby x Peppermint Delight - very striking. I've never seen a pink bottlebrush tree - cool!

Those pictures are so nice to see on this cool day. Those bottle brush trees are really very neat. Do the butterflies also like the threes?

Citrix and Malaysian Marketplace are two of my favorite blooms, Allen, so I really enjoyed seeing them.
